Hi Lorna & Chris,

I really enjoy reading your blog - especially the part about the Jungle and Banos because I do perfectly have in my mind what you are describing. I enjoyed spending the time there together with you. We also did the train trip to the Devil's nose - it was great! We are now back in Germany, back at work and thinking about the next trip... Have a great trip and take care!

Sounds interesting. Wish we were there! But I think Chris may be right about the equator effects being a fix. Have you thought about the recession of the poles? [from wikipedia: For high precision work, the equator is not quite as fixed as the above discussion implies. The true equatorial plane must always be perpendicular to the Earth's spin axis. Although this axis is relatively stable, its position wanders in approximately a 9 metres (30 ft) radius circular motion each year. Thus, the true equator moves slightly.]

I like Bocas del Toro. The beaches are very beautiful and the sea is blue. We go to many islands in the lanchas (not sure) for swim. The islands are very tranquil. The temperature is hot but we are happy. The people in Bocas are very friendly. The restaurants are nice with much fish and shellfish(?). The hotel is comfortable.
A* me thinks!
